66 A FOUR PIECE IRISH SILVER TEA SERVICE,

Dublin 1966, mark of J.W, comprising tea pot, hot water pot,

cream jug and sugar bowl, the tea and hot water pots applied

with ornithological swan finials and plain ‘c’ scroll handles, each

piece with wavy rim, chased and engraved in naturalistic style with

swans and foxes amongst scrolling foliate decoration interspersed

with vacant cartouches and raised on lion mask capped rope twist

legs terminating in paw feet, (c.1897g all in). The teapot 26cm wide

over handle and spout. (4)

65 A MATCHED FOUR PIECE SILVER TEA AND COFFEE SERVICE,

Dublin 1867 and ‘68, mark of John Smith, the teapot London

1876, mark of Martin, Hall & Co, comprising coffee pot, tea pot,

sugar bowl and cream jug, each of conforming design, chased

and embossed with scrolling foliate decoration surrounding

vacant cartouches, each piece with applied cast ‘c’ scroll handles,

the tea and coffee pots with naturalistic finials in the form of

flower heads, the cream jug and sugar bowl with gilded interior,

(c.2955g all in). (4)

64 A FRENCH SILVER COFFEE POT,

by Émile Hugo, Paris, c.1900, the pear shaped body decorated

to each side with oval foliate reserves, filled with engraved initials

against an engine turned ground, supported on acanthus capped

legs and paw feet, stamped with Minerva head and makers mark,

(c.498g). 24cm high

Paris,

19th century, of classical form, the domed cover with swan finial

and pierced body applied with scroll handles and decorated to

each side with classical figures by a pedestal, on circular foot and

plinth base, crested. 26cm high
