58 A VICTORIAN SILVER PEAR SHAPED COFFEE POT,

London 1896, mark of Joseph Williams & Co., with domed

hinged lid and applied ebon finial and ‘C’ scroll handle, the body

decorated in the Rococo Revival taste, chased and embossed

with foliate and shell motifs to an orange peel ground, with vacant

cartouches, crested to one side and inscribed ‘Fear God in Life’,

raised on stepped circular foot (c.373g). 23cm high

1910, raised on ball feet; together with a plain circular baluster

sugar caster, Birmingham marks rubbed; and a quatrefoil shaped
