1796”, book plates of Lady Ardilaun St. Anne’s and Benjamin John
Plunket, frontispiece photograph of Lady Ardilaun, signed and
inscribed ‘Coronation of Edward 7. 1902’, further photographs of
Lord Ardilaun, Edward Leigh White, Bantry House, Lieutenant
Proteau’s longboat, numerous photographic reproductions of
portraits, miniatures, prints, documents and medals and with three
fold-out printed pedigrees showing how the Whites descend from
the ancient houses of O’Sullivan, O’Brien and MacCarthy, each
signed by Thomas Sadlier, registrar of the Ulster Office of Arms.
A comprehensive compilation of records relevant to the attempted
landing of the French fleet in Bantry Bay 1796 and subsequent
events, with the added benefit of publication of documents
subsequently destroyed in the Public Records Office, Dublin.

OLIVE, LADY ARDILAUN
An oblong album, green cloth lettered in gilt, “SKETCHES O.A.”
and a baroness’s coronet containing 50 watercolour studies, most
signed with initials and inscribed most 12 x 20cm, but varying,
with the label of Roberson & Co., 99 Long Acre and 154 Piccadilly,
London.
Some with observations in pencil of the merits of particular
watercolours entitled “Critizismes (sic) by Mr & Mrs Albert
Stevens”, and further inscribed on fly-leaf “All the little sketches
in this book were done by Olive Ardilaun for her husband, Lord
Ardilaun, Ashford, Glengarriff, Connemara etc. 1894-1904”. 18 x

interiors and servants, excursions, family groups, Old Connaught,
unveiling of statue Kildare Street, Ballymascanlon (Co. Louth),
school and clerical groups, steam yacht, Ashford, 24 leaves
(double-sided), some photographs loose. 26.5 x 36cm
