AN IRISH GEORGE III SILVER DISH RING,
Dublin c.1770, mark of William Hughes, typical
spool shape with milled vines and delicate engraved
rocaille decoration of ho-ho birds, flower swags and
architectural elements against a pierced star and
trellis ground, with an asymmetrical cartouche and
a mermaid crest in a pendant medallion (c.12ozs).
21cm diameter, now with a clear glass liner
