HANDLED SILVER BASKET OF OVAL FORM,
Dublin 1782, mark of Thomas Jones or Thomas Johnston,
with pierced handle, beaded rims, continuous pierced
and bright cut engraved sides of scrolls and latticework,
plain central reserve, raised on a pierced oval foot, with
beaded rims (c.22ozs). 35 x 25.5cm wide, 9.5cm high

OVAL BREAD BASKET,
London 1775, mark that of Thomas Daniel, the handle
appears to have makers mark I.L., with applied
pierced swing handle with trailing bellflowers, the
body with continuous band of trailing bellflowers to
the rim, enclosing pierced latticework sides, having
urn filled medallions connected by bellflower swags,
and plain oval base, crested, raised on a pierced oval
foot. (c.34.5ozs) 36cm wide, 29.5cm deep, 11cm high
