GOLD STEEPLE CUP AND COVER,
London marks, in early 17
th
century style, the rising
domed cover with a pierced three-sided steeple finial
raised on three caryatid supports, the tapering cup and
cover chased with flowering artichokes amongst stylised
scrolls on an orange peel ground, and with lappet
band to the foot and base of the bowl, knopped stem,
downswept circular stepped foot, with ‘tongue’ motif
border, raised on a circular marble plinth (c.11.5ozs).

PLAQUE IN THE FORM OF THE GLENIN
SHEEN GORGET,
Dublin 1973, mark of Royal Irish Ltd., with twin circular
discs decorated with continuous bands of punched deco-
ration and concentric geometric circles, the domed body
with bands of punched circular bosses, enclosing central
reserve engraved with presentation inscription from
“Ireland” and “Aer Lingus”. 17cm diameter, mounted
firmly on a timber stand, 21cm high, 21.5cm wide
