Dublin 1775, mark of William Hughes (1767-84),
both also struck with mark of “IS” rubbed, possibly
that of John St. John (1756-95) each with flared rims
and plain bodies, crested (circa 9oz in all)

SUGAR BOWL
of circular form, marks rubbed “C....” (probably Card-
en Terry of Cork) and “STERLING”, with wavy scal-
lop cut, turn-out rim and plain lobed body, raised on
three shell capped hoof feet (circa 5.5oz). 13cm diam-
eter, 6cm high

AN IRISH GEORGE II SILVER BOWL,
Dublin 1733, mark probably that of Henry Daniel
(1710-37), crested to the reverse, with plain moulded
rim, the body with applied alternate plain and stylised
shaped flutes decorated with Celtic diamonds and shells
- perhaps later, raised on a circular foot (circa 19oz).
