AN IRISH GEORGE II IRISH SILVER ROCOCO OVAL BASKET,
Dublin, no date letter, c.1750’s, mark of Robert Calderwood (1727-66), with swing handle with
alternating dragon heads, the oval body with shaped applied imbricated foliate scrolling waves,
enclosing continuous pierced trellis-work band above openwork scrolls and diamond pattern
motifs, raised on scallop shell capped scrollwork shell feet, scratch weight 56x10 (circa 56oz).
