makers mark only, that of John Hamilton (fl. 1722-1741)
of Dublin, the pear-shaped body with a drop-bead beak
form spout, and applied ‘s’ scroll handle, the plain body
crested with rampant lion, raised on a plain circular foot
(scratch weight to the underside “30”9”, now c.30.5ozs).
