Fine Asian Art | 28-29 & 30 June 2022 55 Additional information and photographs for all lots can be found at www.adams.ie 76 A LARGE DEHUA / BLANC DE CHINE PORCELAIN TWO-HANDLED PEAR-SHAPED VASE CHINA, QING DYNASTY It rests on a tall spread foot and has a pear-shaped body surmounted by a long tubular neck flanked by two open-worked handles. It is adorned with two registers of applied symbols and taotié masks, one located near the handles, the other one located on the central body. It is all covered with a desirable white glaze of ivory tone. H: 43,5 cm Comparison: A related Dehua vase with a similar applied design was formerly in the Yamanaka collection. Another related vase is published in Kokuritsu Hakubutsukan, ‘Min Shin No Kaiga’. Tokyo, 1980, fig. 1-218, p. 47. 德化白瓷双耳梨形大花瓶 中国,清早期 € 1,000 - 2,000 77 A DEHUA / BLANC DE CHINE PORCELAIN PEAR-SHAPED VASE WITH A GARLIC NECK CHINA, QING DYNASTY It rests on a short ring foot left unglazed and has a slender pear shaped body surmounted by a garlic head. The neck is encircled by an applied chi dragon in high relief. The vase is all covered with a white glaze of slightly ivory tone. H: 22,8 cm Note: Compare with a related vase dated to the Kangxi period offered at SOTHEBY’S New York, USA, 2022-03-23, lot 323, sold for USD 12,600. € 600 - 800
