BarbaraWarren studied at NCAD in Dublin where she was later to teach for 10 years
and with André Lhote in Paris. She was also influenced and encouraged by her friend and
fellow painter Elizabeth Rivers . She exhibited regularly at the Dublin Painters’ Society
where she held her first one person show in 1952 , the IELA and the RHA where she
was elected a full member in 1989.
