Born in Dublin, AnneYeats entered the RHA schools at the age of 13 where she
studied for three years. She became a set designer at the Abbey Theatre (1936 - 40)
and began painting full time in 1941. She joined the organizing committee of the
IELA in 1947 becoming Secretary for a number of years.Today she is overshadowed
by her father W.B.Yeats and her uncle Jack B.Yeats. Her work is included in the Na-
tional Gallery of Ireland, the Hugh Lane Gallery, the Ulster Museum and the Model
arts and Niland Gallery Sligo to name but a few.
