AN IRISH WILLIAM IV SILVER THREE

PIECE TEA SERVICE,

Dublin 1828, mark of James Fray, comprising

teapot, sugar bowl and cream jug, each with

gilded interiors and out-turned leaf cast rims,

the bodies centred by a vacant cartouche to each

side, surrounded by fruiting vines and foliage,

applied with acanthus handles and supported on

conforming circular foot (c.49ozs all in). The tea-

pot 19cm high, 32cm wide over handle and spout

each of oblong baluster form, decorated with a

demi fluted exterior, plain c-scroll handles and

leafy paw feet, with gilded interiors (c.47ozs) (3)
