Born in India in 1927, Patrick Hickey graduated
as an architect from University College, Dub-
lin. His great passion was for graphics and he
founded Dublin’s Graphic Studio in 1962. He
taught architecture at University College, Dub-
lin and was Professor of Painting at the Nation-
al College of Art from 1985 to 1990.
