Originally from Lancashire in England, Neil Shawcross is Senior Lecturer at the Belfast

College of Art. In 1966

he won the Gallagher Portrait Prize and the RUA Conor Award in 1975 and 1999. Shaw-

cross has exhibited regularly

at both the RHA and RUA throughout his career, and has taught extensively in the US and

worked with special needs

children.
