This work was inspired by Lennon’s friend the artist Noreen Rice who died recently
at the age of 79. He comments about her were quoted in her obituary in the Belfast
Telegraph :- “My signpost and landmark of all that is fine and wonderful in life and in
art - that’s what you are and so much more.”
