RUG,
Central Persia c. 1930, the deep crimson rectangular
field woven with scrolling foliate decoration, enclosing
a navy, cream and blue floral designed medallion,
this central field contained within a broad border of
interlinked anthemion designs, swags, and scrolling
foliage, finely knotted, good condition. 320cm wide
Provenance: Sourced by Pers Lindfors for an Irish
Collector in c.1980, where it has been well preserved to
the present day

within saw-tooth border on navy blue ground
contained by ivory, geometric patterned guard
stripes.
