218 A RARE ST. JAMES DOUBLE CHAMBER SCENT BOTTLE,

18th century, modelled as a monkey, seated on a floral mound

carrying an infant in a basket, each with gilt-metal neck mounts

and detachable stoppers. 6cm high;

together with another St. James porcelain scent bottle, modelled

as a parrot perched on a tree stump, painted in various colours,

on an oval floral painted mound. 6cm high (2)

19th century, modelled as a fruit pickers in 18th century dress,

clambering on an egg plant with a dog pacing at their feet, the

detachable stopper surmounted by doves, overgilded factory

together with another Derby example, lacking stopper (2)
