Sheffield 1895, mark of Martin, Hall & Co (Richard Martin & Ebenezer Hall), retailed by Waterhouse of Dublin,
the chased and pierced entwined fruiting vine rim, enclosing engraved central reserve of waves, scrolls and lat-
ticework, surrounding central cartouche with presentation inscription “Presented to Commandant Peter Fahy as a
token of Gratitude and Appreciation by those Officers of the Army Medical Service whose Welfare was so Materi-
ally Improved by his Courage and Resolution”, raised on four bold pierced scroll legs (c.97ozs). 47cm diameter
