A SCOTTISH GEORGE II HANOVERIAN PATTERN SILVER SPOON, Edin-
burgh 1757, assay master mark of Hugh Gordon (rubbed), makers mark “E.O”
(unidentifiable), the reverse of the handle terminal engraved with initials. 21cm
long;
A GEORGE II PLAIN HANOVERIAN PATTERN SILVER SPOON, London 1743,
mark of Thomas Jackson, the reverse of the up-turned tapering handle engraved
with initials “A” over “T.M” (c.1.5ozs). 19.5cm long;
A GEORGE II HANOVERIAN PATTERN SPOON, London 1759, makers mark
rubbed, crested to the reverse of the handle;
and another spoon with makers mark (c.6.5ozs) (4)

A GEORGE II SILVER HANOVERIAN PATTERN HASH SPOON,
London 1736, mark of “P.R”, possibly that of Philip Roker II, with plain egg-shaped
bowl, up-turned tapering handle, crested to the reverse (c.8ozs). 38cm long
Note: hash spoons are very large basting spoons. They were used for serving hash
of potatoes and meat in the 18th and 19th centuries

London 1761, mark of “I.T”, possibly that of John Tweedie, each of plain decoration
