A FINE PAIR OF CHINESE EXPORT
‘MARIEBERG’ VASES AND COVERS, C1780,
after the Swedish originals, the fitted covers with lotus
bud finials, over urn shaped bodies with gilt ‘pistol
grip’ handles and tapering neck, over dipped spiral gilt
panels bordered by moulded bellflower swags, centred
with oval reserve, painted with butterflies, insects
and flowers on squared pedestal foot. 35cm high.

MUSICAL FIGURAL GROUP,
depicting a lady playing a white grand piano, a piper
wearing an elaborate gilt jacket decorated in poly-
chrome enamel flower heads, and a cello player, each
draped in elaborate Victorian dress with intricate lace
collars and cuffs, atop a shaped base with scattered
encrusted flowers with scrolling rims highlighted in
gilt with central fleur de lis. Marked to the base in
underglaze blue. 46cm wide, 33cm deep, 38cm high

painted with classical romantic scenes with gilt
