A WORCESTER ‘WHEATSHEAF’ PATTERN
PART TEA AND COFFEE SET C.1760-75,
each with straight rims and fluted bodies, comprising of 7 teacups,
4 coffee cups, 11 saucers, a shallow dish, 19cm diameter, a bowl,
16.5cm diameter, a small bowl and cover, a milk jug and cover,
and a teapot and cover; each decorated with alternating panels in
underglaze-blue, with gilded reserves having rouge-de-fer circles
enclosing chrysanthemums, dividing panels of chrysanthemums
and Kakiemon flowers and prunus, in on-glaze enamels, a central
chrysanthemum is surrounded by a border of underglaze-blue,
with fretted square mark in underglaze blue (25)

landscapes, within gilded wreaths, the yellow borders with panels

diameter; 7 teacups; 2 coffee cups; a (slop) bowl, 17cm diameter;
2 shallow dishes, 18.5cm diameter each; a sugar bowl and cover; a
teapot and cover; and a coffee pot (lacking cover), the fluted sides
decorated with alternating panels in underglaze-blue, with gilded
reserves having rouge-de-fer circles enclosing chrysanthemums,
dividing panels of chrysanthemums and Kakiemon flowers and
prunus, in on-glaze enamels, a central chrysanthemum is sur-
rounded by a border of underglaze-blue, with fretted square mark
in underglaze blue (25)
