Fine Asian Art | 28-29 & 30 June 2022 77 Additional information and photographs for all lots can be found at www.adams.ie 129 A LARGE A PARCEL RETICULATED MOUNTAIN SHAPED BISCUIT PORCELAIN VOTIVE ALTAR OR SHRINE CHINA, QING DYNASTY, POSSIBLY KANGXI PERIOD Carved and modeled in the form of a pierced rockwork grotto, the central niche with the figure of Guanyin, the Goddess of Mercy, seated in rajalalisana on a rocky base and holding a child as well as flanked by two attendants. Next to her are a bird, a lingzhi fungus and a celestial pavilion. The is enameled in turquoise and aubergine purple glazes. Offered at auction with an old matching wooden stand adorned with lingzhi fungus. The base of the stand bears the remains of an old antique dealer label.
