It is finely painted in yellow, green and aubergine enamels to depict, amidst others, taotié masks. H: 4 cm - 9,8 cm Provenance: - a private collection; - formerly the property of Otto Gürgen, a German prominent industrialist in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in the 1930s (by repute). € 500 - 700 126 FORMERLY THE PROPERTY OF OTTO GURGEN: A PROMINENT GERMAN ARGENTINIAN INDUSTRIALIST (BY REPUTE) A GROUP OF TWO (2) MINIATURE PORCELAIN VASES CHINA, QING DYNASTY, POSSIBLY KANGXI PERIOD It consists of: - one vase resting on a ring foot and having a globular body surmounted by a long tubular neck with an everted rim, all covered with an apple-green glaze; - one turquoise-enameled biscuit porcelain vase of bottle shape. H (the tallest, the blue one): 9,5 cm Provenance: - a private collection; - formerly the property of Otto Gürgen, a German prominent indus- trialist in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in the 1930s (by repute). € 200 - 400 127 FORMERLY THE PROPERTY OF OTTO GURGEN: A PROMINENT GERMAN ARGENTINIAN INDUSTRIALIST (BY REPUTE) A PAIR OF SMALL BLUE AND WHITE DISHES OF FOLIATE FORM CHINA, QING DYNASTY, POSSIBLY KANGXI PERIOD It is shaped as a lotus flower with molded gadroons imitating the petal combined with a foliate rim. It is finely painted in under- glaze cobalt blue with two characters next to a barrier as well as with reserved lotus petals. The two bases bear identical old handwritten collector labels: ‘1 pair plates Japon’, ‘Harita 1750- 1800’ and #74.
