The glaze is a cool, white tone. H: 14,5 cm Provenance: - a private collection; - formerly the property of Otto Gürgen, a German prominent industrialist in Bue- nos Aires, Argentina, in the 1930s (by repute). Note: Compare with a nearly identical vase, though taller, sold at CHRISTIE’S New York, USA. ‘Blanc de Chine: Dehua Porcelain from the Galster-Ireland Collection’, 2013-07-09/23, lot 10, for USD 3,500. € 800 - 1,500 115 FORMERLY THE PROPERTY OF OTTO GURGEN: A PROMINENT GERMAN ARGENTINIAN INDUSTRIALIST (BY REPUTE) A THINLY POTTED DEHUA / BLANC DE CHINE PORCE- LAIN VASE CHINA, QING DYNASTY, POSSIBLY KANGXI PERIOD The pear-shaped body is incised by a raised keyfret band, and the tapering neck flanked by ear-shaped handles suspending loose rings. The base bears an old handwritten collector label: ‘XVIIe K’ang - Hsi 1662 -1723’. H: 15 cm Provenance: - a private collection; - formerly the property of Otto Gürgen, a German prominent industrial- ist in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in the 1930s (by repute).
