58 83 A LARGE AND IMPORTANT DEHUA / BLANC DE CHINE MOLDED FIGURE OF GUANYIN BOJI YUREN 波及漁人 IMPRESSED MARK CHINA, LATE QING DYNASTY, LATE 19TH CENTURY The Goddess of Mercy is depicted seated in rajalalisana and holding a ruyi scepter. She wears loose robes as well as a necklace. A hair bun is topping her head. The back bears an impressed four- character mark of square shape: ‘ 波及漁人’. H: 34,3 cm Notes: 1. The impressed seal mark ‘Boji Yuren’ can be read as ‘Virtue extends to all, includinag fishermen’.
