With a high quality embroi- dered silk pouch adorned with Mon (armorial crests). H: 20,2 cm - w: 13,6 cm Provenance: A large collection of 100+ Japanese wood- block prints, properties from a French collector. Note: Magojiro mask represents a calm benevolence woman. The mask of Magojiro is used in plays such as Genji Kuyo, Hanjo and Yuya. Note: Okame, also known as Uzume or Otafuku is the name for the female half of a traditional Japanese Kyogen theatre pair. H: 21 cm - w: 17 cm Provenance: A large collection of 100+ Japanese woodblock prints, prop- erties from a French collector. Note: Tengu are a type of legendary creature found in Japanese folk religion. They are considered a type of yokai (supernatural beings) or Shinto kami (gods).
