They display lively scenes taken from the Beijing or Peking Opera, with numerous characters and pavilions, all made of painted papier-mâché. Dimensions (each case): H: 43,5 cm - width: 63 cm - depth: 17,5 cm Notes: Amidst the characters, we can identify Guang Gong, an ancient Chinese General, dressed in a Beijing Opera costume. Hence the flag inscribed with the ideogram ‘ 師 ’ for General. It represents both ‘Protection’ and ‘Wealth’. Peking or Beijing opera is the most dominant form of Chinese opera, which combines music, vocal performance, mime, dance and ac- robatics. It arose in Beijing in the mid-Qing dynasty (1644–1912) and became fully developed and recognized by the mid-19th century. The form was extremely popular in the Qing court and has come to be regarded as one of the cultural treasures of China. 一套( 2 )件京剧立体模型 中国,约 1900-1930 € 10,000 - 15,000
