The base is pierced with a lattice design. H: 3,6 cm – D: 7,5 cm Weight: 60 grams Note: Compare with a related cricket box sold at CHRISTIE’S, sale #14388, 2016-11-29/12-08, lot 104, for USD 937,5. “ 梅 ” 纹带盖鎏银盒 中国,晚清, 19 世纪 € 400 - 600 204 A CHINESE EXPORT SILVER TWO-HANDLED ‘DRAGON’ CUP BY KWONG MAN SHING HONG KONG, CHINA, CIRCA 1900 It rests on a spread foot and has a round body flanked by two dragon handles. It is finely repoussé with two confronte four- clawed dragons fighting for the flaming pearl. The base bears three marks including ‘KMS’, that of the maker. H: 7,5 cm - width: 21,7 cm Weight: 246 grams Note: Kwong Man Shing, important jewelry and silver manufacturer and luxury retailer, active in Hong Kong from the late 19th to the early 20th Century. 中国出口双把龙纹杯, KWONG MAN SHING 造 中国香港,晚清,约 1900 年 € 500 - 700 205 A PAIR OF RETICULATED CHINESE EXPORT SILVER ‘DRAGON’ BOWLS BY HUNG CHONG & CO CHINA, CANTON / GUANGZHOU OR HONG KONG, CIRCA 1900 It rests on a flat foot and has a circular round body. It is all reticulated, i.e. the body and the foot, with a total of three four-clawed dragons flying amidst clouds. One bears a mark ‘HC’ and the other bears an identical mark combined with a two-character Chinese mark. H: 5,4 cm - D: 12,5 cm Total weight: 219,5 grams Note: Hung Chung & Co was a company active in Shanghaï and Canton circa 1860-1930. Their shop in Canton was located on Club Street whilst their shop in Shanghai was located at 11b Nankin Road. € 400 - 600
