Dublin 1835, mark of PWeeks, engraved with the Fitzgerald family crest of the Duke

of Leinster and motto “CromA Boo”, (c.637.6g). 20.5cm. (6)

At this time,Augustus Frederick Fitzgerald was active as theThird Duke of Leinster.

Amongst other positions held,TheThird Duke was Grandmaster of the Grand Lodge

of Ireland, a post which he held from 1813 until his death in 1874. (See lot 1 for more

information on the Grand Lodge of Ireland.)
