AN IMPRESSIVE CARVED GILT-WOOD SIDE TABLE,
in the manner of Mathias Locke, with patterned green marble
rectangular top, the deep frieze centred by the bearded mask of
Hercules, swagged by the head and pelt of the Nemean lion, the pan-
elled scaled canted in-curved legs formed as winged Nikes, the ribbed
acanthus embellished cross-over stretchers centred by eagle cresting.
