makers mark only Michael Walsh (fl.1758-1761),

each with scroll work rims interposed by scallop

shells, pie crust borders, the central reserves

chased with bands of panels depicting birds and

trees, raised on knuckled hoof feet (c.12.5ozs).

Dublin circa 1810, possibly Joseph Buckton, in

the form of a stork with scatted beak, retailed

by LAW;

together with a George III scissors sugar nips

with scallop tongs, Dublin circa 1760, inscribed

W.K. (c.2.5ozs)

SALT CELLARS,

Dublin (marks rubbed), one example with

remnants of perhaps William Bond (fl.1761-

1805), with blue glass liners, each with wavy

gadroon rims, the bulbous bodies, probably later

embossed and chased with flower heads, car-

touches crested, on an orange peel ground, each

raised on three shell capped hoof feet. 7cm diam-

eter x 4.5cm high (2)
