AN IRISH GEORGE III SILVER CREAM

JUG,

Dublin 1812, mark possibly that of James Le Bas,

of ovoid form, with gadrooned rim, lobed body

decorated with bands of bright cut engraving,

stylised ‘s’ scroll handle, raised on claw feet

(c.7ozs). 16cm wide over handle and spout, 13cm

high;

together with an Irish George III cream jug,

Dublin marks (rubbed), with wavy ovolo rim,

paneled body decorated with bright cut engrav-

ing, stylised ‘s’ scroll handle, raised on ball feet

(c.5.5ozs). 15.5cm wide over handle and spout,

11.5cm high (2)

OF COMPRESSED LOBED BALUSTER

FORM,

Dublin 1823, mark of James Fray, retailed by

West, the domed hinged lid with ball finial

decoration with acanthus leaf chased banding,
