Born in Reykjavik, Iceland, Bilson moved to London at the age of five. At the age of six he
won an International Exhibition of Children’s Art competition in Prague. At nineteen he
became a full-time artist. His first one-man exhibition came at the age of 21. In the follow-
ing years, he participated in group-shows in the United States, South America, Japan and
Europe and his work appeared regularly in British Royal Academy Summer Shows.
