Born in London 1946, Geoghegan studied at Worthing College of Art, Sussex before
graduating from Chelsea School of Art, London in 1968. In 1971 he settled in Ireland,
moving to Blessington, Co. Wicklow. He lectured at the National College of Art & De-
sign, Dublin from 1978 to 2004 and teaches annually at the Burren School of Art, Co.
Clare and also holds annual drawing workshops privately and at the National Gallery of
Ireland.
