a) An enamelled lapel badge in the formof a redhand, bearing the letters
W.U.I., relating to theWorkersUnionof Ireland and said tohavebelonged
to James Larkin. [TheW.U.I.was founded in1924byPeterLarkin, brother
of ‘Big Jim’, after the IrishTransport andGeneralWorkersUnionhadbeen
takenover byothers during JimLarkin’s absence in theUnitedStates. Jim
Larkinwas formanyyearsGeneral Secretaryof theW.U.I.].
b) Anoriginal photographicprint showing ‘Big Jim’ Larkinwithhiswife
and their two children in apark, dated rear 1917, corner re-attached (not
affecting figures).
c)Aphotographicpostcard (Valentines), unused, showingLarkinunder
arrest inO’Connell Street.
