As his success grew, he started to work with other materials, namely gold and precious stones. With his wife Louise, they built a thriving company, she looked after the business side and John focused solely on the creative output. Their store on Newbury Street in Boston, one of the most fashionable areas in the city, located in a 19th century brownstone building, shared the street with other well-known brands including Armani, Laura Ashley and Pierre Deux. He became very well-known for his iconic loop necklaces and bracelets, examples of which we can see in this auction. The simple yet elegant design was an instant success and worn by famous clients who enjoyed the expert craftsmanship and beauty of the jewellery. His work does not come often on the auction market, and this is rare opportunity for collectors to obtain one of his unique designs.
