38 | ADAM’S 74 A JUN-WARE BLUISH GLAZE BRUSH WASHER 宋-金天青釉钧窑圆洗 China, Song-Jin dynasty The mouth is gently contracted and rounded, with shallow curving walls and a flat base without a foot. The entire surface is covered with a thin, evenly applied sky-blue glaze. A fine ridge encircles the mouthrim, appearing in a beige tone. The glaze is opalescent, with numerous and distinct bubblemarks visible on the surface. The vessel was fully glazed and supported during firing, leaving five circular spur marks on the outer base.
