30 | ADAM’S 49 A ‘BLEU DE HUE’ DRAGONS BOWL, MARKED AND PERIOD OF MINH MANG China for Vietnam, Minh Mang period (1820-1840) D.11.8cm € 400 - 600 50 A GROUP OF THREE ‘BLEU DE HUE’ SCHOLARS AND LANDSCAPE DISHES Vietnam, 19th century Two plates are decorated with scholar figures appreciat- ing a landscape featuring a pagoda, and are marked with ‘Như Ý Trân Tàng 如意珍藏 ’ and ‘Nhã Ngoạn Lưu Phương 雅玩留芳 ’ . The third plate depicts a scene under the full moon, where a young student on a stone bridge, bows re- spectfully to an elderly scholar, who sits calmly on a rock beneath a pine tree. At the center of the plate is an inscrip- tion: ‘ 纳俚范容就，游松磊落高 ’ (Embracing simplicity and following virtuous example, he wanders among the pines with lofty and upright spirit), bearing the mark of ‘Nhuợc Thâm 若深 ’, and a mark on the reverse reading ‘Kinh sơn phiến ngọc 荆山片玉 ’. All pieces with metal rims.
