FINE ASIAN ART | 15 Tom McMunn was born in Sligo in 1949. His career as a consultant to worldwide drilling companies allowed him to travel extensively. He spent time in Jakarta Indonesia as part of his work. During his time there he became very interested the people and culture of Indonesia. He collected art work which he brought back to Sligo when he returned home. Tom took over the family farm where he became a dry stock farmer and he worked there until his death in 1998.
