127 109 TAKESHI KITANO北野武 (B 1947) Signed “Shakunisai Takeshi ga” 写国斉多気志画 - “Takeshi no daredemo Pikaso”たけしの誰でもピカソ(Takeshi’s Picasso of all people) Print designed for the Kitano Show TV program in only 50 copies, a tribute to Tōshūsai Sharaku (active 1794-1795) and Utagawa Kuniyoshi (1798-1861). Kitano’s creation is a cross between the kabuki portrait of actor Ōtani Oniji III, and the 1844 triptych “Mitsukuni defying the skeleton specter summoned by Princess Takiyasha”.
