The Roman marble copy was created in the time of Emperor Augustus and named after the family that once owned it. The Amazon statue types were admired and studied by artists from the time of the Renaissance and in the 18th & 19th Cen- turies artists such as Bartolomeo and Cavaceppi began creating reproductions of these ancient statues in plaster and bronze for aristocratic collections throughout Europe. € 1,000 - 1,500
