He’s a fool, he’s an ass that refuses his Glass So let his health pass round With all hats on the Ground.’ Provenance Gisburne Park, Yorkshire Gisburne Park was the seat of the Lister Family who acquired the property in 1614. The House as it now stands, was built between 1727 and 1736 by Thomas Lister, M.P. for Clitheroe. The earliest painted view of Gisburne, attributed to Tillemans c.1725 - 1730 is featured in John Harris’ ‘ The Artist and the Country House, from the Fifteenth Century to the Present Day’, No.39 € 4,000 - 6,000
