241 Country House Collections|12 th & 13 th October 2020 628 18TH CENTURY SCHOOL Portrait of an Austrian Marshall with Baton - Possibly Leopold II, Holy Roman Emperor 98 x 76cm Provenance: Collection of the Peck Family, Prehen House, Derry € 3,000 - 5,000 629 17TH CENTURY SCHOOL Portrait of a Boy with Greyhound, a Distant House in the Back- ground Oil on canvas laid on board, 122 x 97cm Provenance: Collection of the Peck Family, Prehen House, Derry € 2,000 - 3,000 627 A COMPOSED GILTWOOD FRAMED NINE PIECE SUITE OF LOUIS XIV STYLE SEAT FURNITURE, French 19th century, comprising a large three seater canape, a matching pair of large fauteuil with loose squab cushions and a set of almost iden- tical fauteuil, covered in period tapestry depicting children playing and various animals in landscapes, the fauteuils à la Reine in the manner of Pierre Bernard, Canape 170.5cm wide x 105cm high; fauteuil 64.4cm wide x 102cm high (x2); fauteuil 60.5cm wide x 95.5cm high (x 6) The unusual tapestry pattern is similar to one in Philadelphia Museum of Art that derives from a cartoon ‘Children’s Games’ by Goya (1745-1828). In 1780 King Charles IV commissioned a new series of tapestries with ‘rural and humorous’ subjects.
