The base inscribed in red with a mark ‘肥碟山信甫’ (lit. ‘Hichozan Shinpo’), a trademark used by the merchant Tashiro Monzaemon. The base also bears an on site picture of the vase as well as an auction catalogue description. Offered at auction together with a large wooden stand.
