21 27 A GEORGE III IRISH SILVER SAUCE BOAT, Dublin lacking date mark, maker’s mark of Matthew West, of helmet form, with punched rim, the body with chased and embossed decoration depicting rural scene with figures, raised on shell capped hoof supports, with applied c-scroll handle, 18cm wide over handle and spout; together with another Irish silver sauce boat, of helmet form, Dublin c.1906, mark of Weirs & Sons, the body decorated with chased and embossed swags, with applied acanthus wrapped c-scroll handle, raised on stylised shell capped hoof feet, 18cm wide over handle and spout.
