Just three years later, Rappoport found himself living and working in Moscow as a craftsman for Fabergé, soon becoming Fabergé’s chief supplier of large silver objects. Whilst Rappoport created a wide array of silver items, he is most fondly known for his decorative animal pieces. His naturalistic approach allowed him to generate a vitality within his works, transforming the cold metal into joyful expressions of craftsmanship.
