A PAIR OF FRENCH BRONZE AND ORMOLU
FIGURAL CANDELABRA,
in Louis seize style, each with raised central socket
and four scroll arm branches, each with detachable
foliate cast sconces, on a waisted stem, applied with
seated infants holding paper scroll and book, sup-
ported on a spiral column and stylised griffin to each
side, shaped base, lobed circular feet. 56.5cm high (2)

nal slate engraved with sunburst design to centre,
within a band of Roman numerals and encircled
by date line, lacking gnomon. 46cm diameter

MALBY’S SEMI TERRESTRIAL GLOBE,
is made up of twelve copper-plate, engraved hand
coloured paper gores. “The equator is graduated in
degrees and hours. The ecliptic graduated in days and
showing the symbols of the houses of the zodiac. The
Antarctic is labelled ‘supposed antarctic continent’, the
continents outlined in colour with numerous physical
and geographical details. The two parts of the globe are
attached with a cupper hinge missing and a small hook
9cm diameter
