ED (UNMARKED) COCONUT CUP,
the body with compass rose to the base and with inscrip-
tion “
George A Atkins March ye 24th 1772
” and also
with the coats of arms of Thomas Nugent, 6th Earl of
Westmeath (1714-1792); Rudolph Taaffe 7th Viscount
Taaffe of Corren 1762-1830 and William O’Brien, 4th
Earl of Inchiquin (d.1777), with wave neck, swing handle
and raised on three Irish style shell feet. 11.5cm high

A MEISSEN SNOWBALL BLOSSOM TEACUP AND
SAUCER,
18th century, flower encrusted with delicate gilt rims, painted
to the interiors with polychrome fleurs jetées, the exteriors
encrusted with flower blossoms and applied trailing roses in
pinks and yellows and finely gilded roots and leaves, the cup
with applied canaries perched on gilded branches, each piece
with underglaze blue crossed swords mark. The saucer, 13.5cm
diameter
