Edinburgh 1827 (9 vols in 19) with added titles, “Extra Illustrated by Bickers and
Son 1902”, in empire-style red morocco with gilt filets, the compartmented spines
and the covers with Napoleonic emblems, stamped ‘Bickers & Son, London’, with
bookplate of Sir William Arthur Harmer Bass, 2nd baronet (of the brewing family).
*this sumptuous set contains a unique & comprehensive collection of original aqua-
tints, engravings and mezzotints, some fold-out, some coloured, and maps, in all
